Privacy Policy

Overview

Cedar Springs Camp (“we,” “us,” or “our”) runs this website, cedarsprings.camp, and the event booking pages on it. This policy says what we collect, what the website records on its own, who else is involved, and the choices you have. We do not sell your information.

What You Give Us

  • Event registrations (Trail Lights, Homeschool Days and other events): the name, email and phone number of the adult registering, the names and ages or birthdates of the people coming, including children, and anything else the event asks for, such as an arrival time.
  • Payments: card payments are processed by Square. Your card number goes to Square, not to us. If you save a card for next time, Square keeps it, and we keep only its type and last four digits.
  • Waivers: signed through our online waiver service, which keeps the signed waiver and sends us a copy.
  • Summer camp: registration happens through UltraCamp, which has its own privacy policy. We receive the registration details to run camp, transportation and reminders.
  • Forms on this website (contact, requests, applications): what you type and any files you attach, which our staff receive.
  • Help requests: our help desk service keeps the messages you send us.

What the Website Records on Its Own

  • Visit counts: we count visits ourselves, without an outside analytics company. We record the pages visited, the site you came from, and a rough location. Your IP address is anonymized before anything is stored.
  • Security: like most websites, ours logs visits and sign-in attempts, including IP addresses, to protect the site.
  • Cookies: small cookies keep you signed in, remember your choices, and help us see where people get stuck while booking. Our own cookies hold nothing personal and are not used for advertising.

Meta (Facebook and Instagram)

On our event booking pages we use the Meta pixel to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads. It tells Meta that a page was viewed, that an event night was looked at, that checkout started, and that a purchase was made and for how much. It does not send your name, email, phone number or anything about your family. Meta may use what it receives together with what it already knows about its own users, as Meta’s privacy policy describes. You can limit it with an ad blocker or in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.

Other Services Our Pages Load

Some of our pages load fonts and scripts from outside services, which see your IP address when your browser fetches them. Our Facebook and Instagram links are plain links: nothing from those sites loads until you click one.

Email and Texts

  • Emails about your reservation, such as confirmations, reminders and changes, are sent through our email providers.
  • Our announcements mailing list is covered by our Email Privacy Policy. Every announcement has an unsubscribe link.
  • We text you only if you ask us to, and you can reply STOP at any time. Texts to job applicants and staff follow our SMS Terms.

How We Use It

To run your registration and the event, contact you about it, keep everyone safe (waivers, who is coming, who picks up), take payments, answer your questions, improve the website, and judge whether our ads are worth what they cost.

Who Else Sees It

We share information only with the services that do the work above (payments, waivers, summer camp registration, our help desk, email and texts) and with Meta as described. We do not sell or rent it, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We may share it if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.

Children

We collect children’s information only from their parents or guardians, to register them and care for them at camp. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your Choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by contacting us. We may need to keep some records, such as payments and signed waivers, as the law or our insurance requires.

Changes

When what we do changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
