Maintenance – Facilities

Year Round
Ages 16+
Full Time

About This Role

The Maintenance & Facilities position is a year-round, full-time role responsible for the ongoing care and development of the Cedar Springs Camp property. With over 300 acres, multiple buildings, and a range of vehicles and equipment, the scope of work is broad and varied. This team handles day-to-day maintenance and repairs, but also takes on new construction — building activity spaces, program infrastructure, and other improvements that directly serve campers and guests. We’re looking for someone with a trades background who brings both technical skill and creative problem-solving to their work.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance across camp buildings, grounds, and equipment
  • Respond to facility needs as they arise — repairs, seasonal preparation, and ongoing upkeep
  • Contribute to the planning and construction of new activity spaces and program facilities
  • Operate and maintain vehicles and heavy equipment in a safe and responsible manner
  • Maintain grounds through regular upkeep and seasonal project work
  • Identify maintenance needs proactively and communicate them before they escalate
  • Support event setup, teardown, and facility needs tied to camp programming
  • Manage your own workload across a mix of maintenance and build projects with minimal supervision

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a skilled trade, general maintenance, construction, or facilities management
  • Equally capable of executing a new build as completing a repair
  • Able to assess situations independently and determine the appropriate course of action
  • Approaches new construction and problem-solving with creativity and good judgment
  • Physical capability for outdoor, hands-on work across varied terrain and weather conditions
  • Self-directed and reliable — maintains consistent standards without close oversight
  • Clear communicator who works well within a small, collaborative team

Compensation and Perks

  • Competitive wage for a year-round, full-time position
  • Consistent hours with stable year-round employment
  • Meaningful work in a mission-driven organization serving kids and families
  • A team environment that values skilled, dependable people
  • Opportunity to contribute visibly to the camp through construction projects that will serve campers and guests for years to come
